progress bar in asp.net

I am trying to implement progress bar in asp.net .How to show progress while on page loading and then hide it when grid is loaded and then hide it .

Hi All  Please help to display the progress bar in asp.net application  as page loads it display datagrid nowthe requirement is to diaply a progress bar while the data is loading in datagrid when i implement update progress in same page both the progress bar and gridview are shwn simultaneously but it should show first progress bar then gridview then once the data is loaded it should hide the progress bar  Can someone please provide me some code examples as how do i hide the progress bar once the page is loaded with datagrid data.

Subhendu will be here soon to help you but I think what you want to do is to show the progress of loading the data not loading the GridView.

I am using Ajax progress update but it comes on page load along with gridvew requirement is to first show the progress of loading gridview and then fully load the gridview and then hide progress bar. My question is to how do i first show the progress bar then hide it and show the gridview.

If you don't get a good answer to your question then it might be that your question is not clear. Based on my understanding of your question you don't need to do anything since IE shows a progress bar when pages load. If you mean something different then you probably need to explain better what you need.
