Properties v/s Method

Question

why did we need to introduce properties when we can do everything using methods? In c# .text and in Java .setText()... Why did we need to introduce properties.

Hi Properties and methods are very similar and both are implemented as procedures that accept arguments. Properties store data for the object and method are perform the action. We can differenciate Properties and method by its functionality. Also we can say Property is special method which does not accept any parameter and we are able to set access modifier to property's getter setter. one more benifit of properties With method we have to write two method one for get the data and one for set the data. Properties include both method (getter and setter) within one. hope this will help you.
