Propertygrid load of custom properties on DataGridViewRow Select

Question

Hi all I have a set of custom properties defined in a class and want to assign this to each and every datagridview row that can allow users to add new rows during runtime.I'm unable to set properties efficientlyam fairly new to c#.net and appreciate any inputs on this... Vish

Sam I've attached a project with a datagridview and propertygrid. Nowfor each row added to the datagridviewI want a set of properties displayed and retained in the propertygrid. THe set of properties have also been designed. My only problem right now is thatI'm unable to set the propeties changed for each row during runtime

So if I understand what you are saying then you just need to add a column to the DataGridView dynamically for each additional feature. Does that sound like what you need?

Hey Sam This is my functional requirement...I'm trying to create a table from the front end..i capture fieldnamedatatype and size in the datagridview...all this information is enterd by the userbut I want the user to have the option to input additional features to each field...like default value..these additional features I wanted to set in a property grid..these proerties lets say for now..just DefaultValue has no variable and just needs to accept integers and needs to be created for every row entered in the datagridviewfor each row.Hope I made sense..Let me know if you anymore inputs..Thanks for the patience. I certainly misunderstood what you meant by properties but I am sure you can do it even if you bind data to the control. I am not sure how to do it. Of course I don't know enough about what you need to do to help even if I was an expert. You don't explain what the variables are that affect the properties. Does the determination of properties of a field depend on the contents of other fields? Do they depend on data in other records/rows? Answers to these questions determine how simple or complex the solution might be.

Hey Sam I'm using the datagridview for user entry and want each row to have custom properties for every row entered.. thus I cannot have a datasource bound to it... I cannot know how many rows the user enters...any help much appreciated..

It helps to think of UI elements (such as a DataGridView) as UI elements instead of as containers of data. Is the data stored in a database? If so then a typical solution is to bind the data source such as a database table to the UI such as a DataGridView.
