how can i select text in dropdownlist while perform edit operation in mvc

In the place of that I am using this...................... Hi Indu, Can you share your piece of code here for our understanding , because cannot get your question exactly what you are trying to convey!.. Since, my understanding is you want to select the saved record from database. now you can able to see your id(value) only not as text. Am i correct?
