Question regarding assemblies..please answer its urgent

suppose i had used an assembly in my project...and my project is done now.what are the changes that are done in the assembly.

I'm not sure I understand your question as an assembly is in fact the technical name for a compiled .NET program. It can either be an executable (.exe) or a library (.dll). It consists of the code itself and 'metadata' which is information about the code such as what classes and methods it contains. The code is in a form known as Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL for short) which all .NET compilers such as C# and VB.Net produce. This code is managed by the Common Language Runtime (CLR) which runs it by converting it to native code for the underlying platform 'on the fly' a process known as 'just in time compilation'. It is possible for an assembly to consist of several physical files (or modules) though most assemblies have only one module. All assemblies have a manifest which contains information about it such as its version and the modules it contains. In a multi-module assembly one of the modules (known as the main module) contains the manifest. Has that covered what you need to know?
