If record has the same meaning to you like it does in PASCAL then in C# you can use instead a struct-type variable and serialize it. Then just write it into a file using FileStream and BinaryFormatter classes.

Not sure what you're meaning record by record but here's an example of line by line: public void CopyFiles(string source string target) { if(File.Exists(source)) { StreamReader input = new StreamReader(source); StreamWriter output = new StreamWriter(target); while(input.Peek() != -1) { output.WriteLine(input.ReadLine()); } input.Close(); output.Close(); } }
