read text from txt file

Hello! I'm reading a txt file when the form is loaded the text appear in the textbox. My problem is that when the form loads the text is selected and i don't want that. How can i make the text not to be selected? thnks!

Another way to prevent the text from being automatically selected is to handle the textbox's Enter event as follows: private void textBox1_Enter(object sender EventArgs e) { int len = textBox1.Text.Length; textBox1.Select(len len); } This selects nothing but leaves the caret at the end of the text.

hi I have tried in my test application to reproduced the issue which is face by you. it working fine and not get selected whole text while I am click on textbox or make focus on textbox. here I am making text box multi line.

Hi Violeta I think the tabindex for this texbox is set to 0 and tab stop is set to true you can either set the tab index of some other control to 0 or set the tab stop to false.
