reading .dat file using C#

Question

hi i have a file having .dat extension . the only thing i know about the data is the file is having some data and images .

i need to parse the file via C# winforms and display data and images .

hi with out knowing file type you cannot read this file because it internally might be some unknown type or binary type. so i think you must know this file contains which type of data and file type. please refer following link if it is binary type http://www.yoda.arachsys.com/csharp/readbinary.html hope this will help you.
