Redirecting a page in asp.net.

Question

I have a page which has an edit button. Now what i want to achieve is that if an Id belongs to the Hr department it should direct to a certain page and if an Id belongs to Finance department it should direct to another page (when the user clicks on this same edit button).

How can i do this?

Hi You can use Response.Redirect. The Redirect method causes the browser to redirect the client to a different URL. Hello @shosha you can use the response.redirect method . you can check you condition using if else statement after that you can redirect to a specific page on button click event. protected void Button_Click(object sender EventArgs e) { if (id == HR ) { Response.Redirect(@Your Page URL); } else if (id == Finance) { Response.Redirect(@Your Page URL); } }
