Regarding a suggestion.

Question

I am a B.tech final year student.I had done my majors in Information Technology.
Within few months companies will be visiting my campus for placement.
But i want to confess i even don't know abc of C. I had zero knowledge about
programming.
Now i don't know what to do.
How i can learn programming.
Please help me.I know this group has lot of techies
who has been a begineers at ones.

Well I'll be honest programming is not something that can be learned quickly. It takes time practice patience and a lot of try - fail - repeat actions. Now the first thing that you need to do is decide what field you find interesting is it a web desktop mobile embedded etc. development. Depending on what exactly you prefer will determine what would be a logical choice of your first programming language. Now I know people will often specify a certain language for beginning but that is just a subjective opinion I believe your best bet is with something that will enable you to produce results that you would find interesting and thus keep your motivation high up. After you have chosen a programming field you can search (or ask here) for a popular programming languages that are used in that field. After that find some simple beginners tutorial for it. The tutorial should cover the basic syntax logics operators and functionalities of that language. After that take another tutorial I'm serious you need to master the fundamentals everything else goes on top of it. After you feel comfortable with coding out in that programming language you can start building something interesting. Use any resources that you have (internet books etc.) to help you out. After you're done make something else... As I said before it takes practice and experience in order to become good programmer. Few additional things I would like to point out: Learn how to debug your code. Learn how to test your code (unit testing regression testing etc.). learn how to use version (source) controls. This is a rough guideline but I hope it'll guide you to a right direction. Last regarding the job itself before going to an interview you should search for some commonly asked questions and try to answer them on your own. This will tell you how good you covered the fundamentals. After that try solving some coding tests note that often companies practice this approach when interviewing their candidates. To give you an idea how these tests look like you can refer to the programming aptitude tests from TestDome . For example for a front end web development you can take a look at these HTML CSS and JS tests  for a server side and desktop development you can check out these C# programming tests and for an embedded devices here are some C++ coding tests . First make sure what you wanna become either Developer or Tester.Concentrate on those areas.Latest trend is all about Web and Mobile. Please follow below steps: Before start your journey you have to make a solid plan and execute it. So don't hesitate that you don't about C. Keep patience and do hard work. Always learn that matters to you. 1. Choose one out side tutorials which provides good coaching institute. 2. Meanwhile there are so many tutorials are there you can start with that. 3. If you want to be a real practice more and more. you will get ideas from that. 4. Practice Aptitude and reasoning for Campus interview. 5.
