RegularExpression for Email Validation

Question

My requirement is validate an email id.
but it has to accept only corporate email ids..not personal email ids(gmail,yahoo,hotmail etc)

for ex:
[email protected] ----> invalid

[email protected] ---->valid
[email protected] --->valid

It's not working because you can only use the [^abc] construct with individual characters not words. Try this instead: ^([a-zA-Z0-9_\-\.]+)@(?!(gmail|yahoo|rediffmail|hotmail)\.)[a-z0-9-]+(\.[a-z0-9-]+)*(\.[a-z]{23})$

It was actually worse than that Santosh in that it wouldn't have worked if the domain had begun with any of the letters in: gmail|yahoo|rediffmail|hotmail 'w' isn't included here so it did work for wipro.com :)

@Vulpes..thnks dude...its working as desired.. my Regex is not supporting if the email domain is starting with 'a' for ex:xyz@abc.com/xyz@apqrs.com anyways thnks for the reply

but its working (valid) for xyz@wipro.comxyz@3i-infotech.com y not for xyz@accenture.com y for xyz@baccenture.com

Yes santosh.. I tested this regex. Its not working perfectly... if i add one more 'b' in front of accenture its giving ture.....

@jaganathan..wht u said is correct..but i want in the form of Regex.. i have this Regex ^([a-zA-Z0-9_\-\.]+)@[^(gmail|yahoo|rediffmail|hotmail)][a-z0-9-]+(\.[a-z0-9-]+)*(\.[a-z]{23})$ this works fine as per my requirement..but donno why it is failing for xyz@accenture.com it works for xyz@wipro.com

Hi You should get the domain name as sub string and then have to test whether the domain falls within the group of free mail domains..
