hi i m using two textbox one checkbox and button for my login page i have used cookies for it but its not working i do not want to use login control if u have any code provide me with detail thank u

Hi after the Autentication of the user just add these line in that Mathod only. Response.Cookies(Khan).Value =Strings.Trim(txtuser.Text);Response.Cookies(Khan).Expires = System.DateTime.Today.AddMonths(1); After that in the page lode of that Login page add these Lines if (!IsPostBack) { if ((Request.Cookies(Khan) != null )) { txtuser .Text = (Request.Cookies(Khan).Value + ); } } Thats all just try this if there is any issue please let me know Thanks

I am not sure if there is any way to do it with just code. I always use the login control that ASP.NET provides. If I had to code my own I would use a database that has a table with user information (name username password email etc.). When a user creates an account all of this info would be written to the user table in the database. Upon the form_load event you will need to either use Linq or add the info in this user table to a dataset. When the user attempts to login he or she will only be authenticated if there is a username/password pair that matches within the dataset or table. I do not know what your site should do but if you will need the ability to create access rules and roles you may want to consider using the login controls which can save you a heap of work. This is about all that I can tell you.
