reminder function at every 1 second in Global.asax

Question

I am calling an email reminder function at every 1 second in Global.asax. when i set the timer, its working fine for short time frame but not working for larger time frame
Any help would be appreciated!!!!

In asp.net applications the timers will go break like this: For getting an infinite callback on your methods you should use Caching and Expiry logics. The idea is that you create an item in the cache and on expiry you set a method to be called. You can set the cache expiry time to 1 minute and on the callback method you have to create the cache again. In this way your method will get called as long as the webserver is online.
