Hi Friends Why edit is not possible in repeater?

Hi Repeater control is not derived from the webcontrol class. It lacks in the edit style and paging.. It is light weight control and rendered as HTML markup. It is used like read only control. It is mostly used like column based and not like row based control (grid). Mostly it is used to display the information rather than updating the records.
