Report size

Question

Hi Experts ,

Now i have a case that i have my necessary fields and data in my report viewer , but more than half of the page is left empty

can any one help me regarding reducing the size of the reoprt (height and width)

Hey, Go to File > Page setup and select the paper( A4 or somethig) and select the page layout. (Portrait or Landscape.) After that when you come to your designer mode and you still see extra space, you should increas the width of your fields use that extra space. Coz you cannot reduce the paper size as you wish. You can only set standard papaer sizes. Please mark this as accepted, if you find this useful.

Hey friend, I know exactly what you want. I have experienced the same problem. If you decrease the field sizes, then definetely, the space allocated by the report will be reduced. But when you print the report, you will have to provide an A4 paper (or the paper type you have provided.) So you can't save paper. So what you have to do here, is buying another printer. :) In those places where you get small bills, they have different printers which supports small paper sizes. Let's say you bought such a printer and connected it to your machine. Then when you go to File > Page setup in your crstal report designer, you will see paper sizes supported by that printer. Then you can select a small paper size. Adjust your fields in the report as you want. Then you can save papers. Hope you can understand what I say.

Hi there , But my content is only half of the page in the report viewer . if the page is printed as such the remaining will get wasted . So i want a solution that makes the page area less or fit to the data in the report viewer . like a billing in any normal shop . For example in medical shops their bill size is small na , i need in such a kinda page format . Please let me know ASAP. Very very urgent Please anybody help me
