Responsive GridView

Question

How to made a Gridview control responsive same as looks like the view in MVC table structure with custom layout/css. I dont want to use the plugins like " the Footable responsive table jQuery plugin" or " Twitter.Bootstrap.Bootswatch.Cosmo".
