restricting a textbox

Dear Sir i am creating a project on hotal management.I want that on login window if the user is not entering any text then after 30 seconds their should be a message "time out re-login". Please tell me how to put this restriction on textbox for this???

If you are using windows application then add a timer. Go to properties of the timer. Set enabled to True and interval as 30000 Now add this code: private void timer1_Tick(object sender EventArgs e) { timer1.Start(); if (textBox1.Text == ) { MessageBox.Show(hi); } } Note: Say textBox1 is the Id of your UserId textbox.

just put a javascript timer it will post to the server and then check if its postback and no data on the textbox do your things
