Returning values

Hi all. I having a prob with an Isnumeric function I'm using. I keep getting the error. Not all code paths return a value Please help everyone. Heres my code. public bool IsNo(char[] test) { foreach(Char chrMine in test) { if (chrMine >= '0' && chrMine Thanx :P

First of all I don't understand why do you need a forloop at all for chrMine comparison? YOu could make it easy by passing the values for chrMine in the function parameters itself. The problem with the code above is this method expects a return val which is missing since the return values are enclosed within the forloop. This further means that the return values belong to the for loop only and not the entire method!! One thing you could do is store the value you want to return within the For loop into a variable and return that variable. This wud look something like this bool bval=false; foreach(xx in xxx){ if (condition1) bval=true; else bval=false; } return bval Irfan
