scenario for connected mode

Hello which scenario we should use connected mode data base connection . i have mostly use SqlDataAdptor for get data from data base .But i want to know to which scenario we should sqldatareader

Use DataReader when you want to fetch data in read-only mode. By read only i mean if you don't need to do anything with the data like edit update or delete.
