scroll automatically in a ListView control?

my listview contral as a lot of items. The last items are not visible whitout scrolling. How can i scroll automatically down to show the last item at the start of the winapp?

I would like to do the same thing with a datagrid control. I added the following to my code so that it selects the last row of my datatable. this.dataGrid1.Select(this.dt_messages.Rows.Count -1); but how do i get it to scroll down to the selected row
