search record with multiple fields and display in grid

hii i have 3 textboxes birthdatebirthplace and namefrom these 3 fields all fields are not compulsary i want to perform search opearation and display data in grid how can i do that?? plz provide me code.

hi friend Create query using like operator and perform a search execute it using SqlDataAdapter and fetch data in your dataset bind it to gridview and you are done. for eg: query=@select * from person where Name like '%+txtName.Text.Trim()+%' and BirthDate like '%+txtBirthDate.Text.Trim()+%' and BirthPlace like '%+txtBirthPlace.Text.Trim()+%'; This is the simplest way to do this.... If you want more refined result and you are using Sqlserver then you can go for FullTextSearch. It quite complex but very fast and exact result are the out come.
