Searchable data printed in a readonly textbox and be applied to db

Question

I am having a form in which the user is typing a searchable data and I need his value to be printed in a read only textbox which will search for the specific data in my sql server database.

In order to create this typing and printing schedule can be done as string and how can this be searchable in my db?

I want to pass a value from the second form to the previous form (first form). In other words I want to upadate the first form with the data written in the second form. we are saying the same thing or not?

if u want to pass any value in next form's control first create object of that form in previous form and with the use of its object write passing value on its text .so if u want to pass value first create object of that form.

ankit this bit of code is effected by a showdialog() statement? I am asking you cause in my project it doesn't give an error but it doesn't put the written text in my previous form. I tried with brand new textboxes or richTectBoxes but still nothing... Do you think this is happening because of the reverse way of printing?

the problem remains cause I want to pass over only one set of data fields and it doesn't seem to work in without both sets... Ankit I tried your code and even if I made all variables from public to internal it has an error in my firsts form richTextBox: Error 1 Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'System.Windows.Forms.TextBox'

the copied code project is exaclty the same with the example (without change a comma). The only change is that I created only the first part of set section (not included the address part of code). As soon as I include the address part of code it works fine without an error. Ankit I want to pass from a second form any typed data to its previous form. Its the same for the reverse way?

For some reason the compiler cannot find the definition of IdentityUpdateEventArgs that you gave it. Are you sure that the namespace that IdentityUpdateEventArgs is in is the same as the rest of your project?

i think u want to pass one textbox value to unother text box which is in unother form. to do this on first forms show button click event (Form to which textbox value u want to pass to unother forms Textbox) write following code like if second form namd is Form3 then code will be Form3 obj = new Form3(); obj.textBox1.Text = richTextBox1.Text;//textbox1 is the textbox name to which u want to show value of first form's textbox obj.Show(); Note: Do seconds Form's textbox Modifier property internal otherwise it will give error.

The two lines of code that you posted that uses IdentityUpdateHandler does not define IdentityUpdateEventArgs.

I tried to create a project absolutly the same as the example and it prints the same error. This error is dissapeared only as soon as the frmAddress.cs is created and I also include the code for the second's form passing data....isn't it strange?

The TextBox and RichTextBox controls have a Text property. You will need a reference to the other form though and I don't know enough about your application to know how to do that. There are however articles in this web site that will help with that.

There are many articles in this web site about forms too some of which of which should show what you need. I am however not sure of the details of what you need to do. What Jonathas shows is good but appears to not use parameters and for something like this it is better to use parameters.
