Send email using gmail smtp server

i am not able to send email from my application (using c#). i am getting an exception SMTP Email Error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: net_io_connectionclosed

It is a property of SMTP Class EnableSsl – Specify whether your host accepts SSL Connections (Gmail: True) If you will have to create an object of SmtpClient class and allow EnableSsl SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient(); client.EnableSsl=True;

Hi dear Please use it I think that you will not enable Ssl if you are not enable it . So enable it like client.EnableSsl = true; SmtpClient smtp = new SmtpClient(); smtp.Host = smtp.gmail.com; smtp.EnableSsl = true; NetworkCredential NetworkCred = new NetworkCredential(txtEmail.Text txtPassword.Text); smtp.UseDefaultCredentials = true; smtp.Credentials = NetworkCred; smtp.Port = 587; after that if this solution is not solve your problem then follow below link.. http://www.aspsnippets.com/Articles/Send-email-using-Gmail-SMTP-Mail-Server-in-ASPNet.aspx
