If the SmtpClient is with your organisation then open the server path (Inetpub\mailroot\) check all the folders for messages (Date Modified). Also did you configured mailing server client on you system through IIS.

First of all a valid mailing server or smtp port needs to be there. Your localhost system needs to configured to that.
