Sending mail

Question

Hi Sir/Mam

I want to know how can i send a mail regularly within specific time. Suppose i want to send a mail daily at 12:00 o'clock at noon to a person. How can i do it. Plz give me ur valuable support.

hi friend you can achieve it with two ways: 1) using your application you can do this using threads timers and SMTP server for mails. 2) using DataBase Mail server you can achieve it here using JOB and Schedules. first decide which one to choose and find appropriate method to do this. You just need to write a program that sends the message. You can schedule it to run using the Task Scheduler. Are you familiar with the Task Scheduler? Hi Sanjay In that case you will have to create a Windows service which will have a timer which can be fired at every hour minute second etc whatever your business requirements are. And at each tick event of the timer you can simply check the time on the computer and accordingly send a mail. Hope this helps.
