sent email from asp.net

Question

Hi  this is my code for sending email that doesn't work . It is better if you don't have your own domain to use the one from your webmail server unless it is free but does not provide a free smtp server. You can use 'localhost' which is port '25' if you have IIS6 or IIS7 installed. If you are just using it for yourself create it in a winform with the first being the set up for the SMTP so that you don't have to hard code anything but store it in variables and save the data using System.IO.StreamWriter and call it back with StreamReader in another form for the actual Message Page like in OutLook style with Attachment options. I have already done this with POP3 also. Better code practice and routine. The more short cuts you use will lower robustness of the program. Write code.

Also here is the method for you to retrieve the actual IP of popimapsmpt... + domain IPHostEntry hostEntry = Dns.GetHostEntry(host); IPAddress[] ipAddresses = hostEntry.AddressList; not if you call ipAddress[0].ToString() so that you can see it in a textbox it will give you the full IP for whatever host. If it is for smtp remember to put the 'smtp.' before the domain for the host.
