What is the difference between XML serialization and Binary serialization and which is best ?

Hi Ashiwani Specific to .NET If you have two applications that Both are using c#.Net than you can use binary serialization. On the other hand if you have applications that are in different platforms than it is recommended to use XML Serialization. For Example I am writing a chat application(client and server) I might use binary serialization But your Server in C# and Client in other like C++ Or Java then you have to Use XML serialization. So Best Serialization method is to depends on cross platforms or single platform.
