set image dimention in fileupload control of asp.net

Question

i want to save the image file in database with fileupload control with fixed Dimention of Image Width: 400px Hight: 400px  i want to any save any image with this fixed dimention. any one help me????

You cannot specify the fixed size for column to store images. Database store images in form of raw bytes and you don't know in advance the size of image in terms of bytes. By knowing only the image pixels you cannot determine the actual size of image because it also depends upon image dpi(dots per inch). e.g if two images are having same pixel size but different dpi then the number of bytes will be different for two images. So you have to use varbinary column type or Image column type if you are using SQL server database. Please mark as accepted if found helpful
