setup and deployment

Question

I have created a window application in c# with sql server2005,now i want to make a set up that installes it's database and project . acctually ,I m new to .net so please help me for creating the setup which installes it's databse while installing

you need to explicitly instal SQL Server you cant include it in you application. or you can have a single server pointing all the client applications to that server. if you want the database with application  you can use an emmbedded DB  but this only works for standalone applications. Thanks Lisa

To do that you have two ways 1 install sql server into the target machine using windows installer(normal way) After finished the application developement In the solution explorer right click on the solution Add new project The project window appears Expand other projects node Select setup and deployment Setup project Right click on the new setup project in the solution explorer Click the button labeled or named prerequsites A window appears Select Microsoft Data Access Compoment 2.8 then select SqlServer 2005 express edition You garantie that sql server will be automatically installed into the target machine then right click the application folder at the left of the window and select add select file a browser appears then browse the sql server data base mdf extention and add it 2 Install the data base using a class installer(profitional way) Go to msdn how do I C# or VB>Deployment>Walkthrough under windows installer node walkthrough using custom action to create a database at installation
