SharePoint Website is running very slow Any ideas to improve

I have SharePoint 2010 on our server it was working fine till we restarted the system. After we restarted the server all web sites on that server are running very slow. Any idea why is this happening. Suman

Is the search crawler running on the same server. If yes try stopping the service from services.msc and then check if site are working fine or not.
