What is the difference between #include and #include 'file'?

Sonakshi Please ask questions about C/C++ in the Visual C++ forum rather than the C# language forum. Do you mean what is the difference between: #include and #include file If so then the only difference is the order in which the compiler searches for 'file' (usually a header file) if you don't specify its full path. There's no difference at all if you do specify the full path. The first form (using angle brackets) searches along the path specified by the /I compiler switch and then along paths specified by the INCLUDE environment variable. The second form (using quotes) does the same as the first form except that it first looks in the 'current' directory i.e. the directory which contains the file containing the #include directive.

Hi Sonakshi When writing your C program you can include files in two ways. #include searches the file in the specified list of directories.It is a build in file. #includefile searches the file in the current working directory as wel as in the specified list of directories.It is created by user. Thanks
