Should I invest time in learning ASP.NET before Azure ?

Question

I am currently a junior level .NET developer working on ASP.NET primarily. In the very near future I am planning to work on cloud related technologies (like Azure). My question is should I invest my time in learning ASP.NET along side with learning Azure or can I simply ignore ASP.NET and continue focussing more and more on Azure. I want to become a cloud architect ( I know its going to take time but neverthless just telling).

First learn asp.net and understand the concepts then look into Azure you can deploy your application into Azure cloud

Before answering I would like your goal. Keep it up and stick into it. Regarding learning AZURE: Before going into Azure you should have basic knowledge of ASP.NET and visual studio(if you are developing .NET app in AZURE). ASP.NET will help you to develop application and visualstudio will help you to deploy .Net app into Azure. Once you are comfortable with ASP.NET focus more on Azure that will helpful to you but it is not mandatory. You can learn Azure AWS cloud infrastructure as you want to be an architect.
