Show date in datagridview column in c#

Question

Hai In my project I want to show date in datagridviewcolumn Here am typing the date and month ex: 02-11 or 02.11 or 02/11 it will automattically convert the correct date format as 02-11-2015 or 02.11.2015 or 02/11/2015 . How can I get this Please give me a solution for my question. Thank you for your help in advance. Please reply fast.

You can't replace it you have to edit these line your own way...Then you place it in your desired code scope where you want to show the column value in date format.

Please try this one: dataGridViewCellStyle . Format = dd/MM ; this . date . DefaultCellStyle = dataGridViewCellStyle ; or dataGridView1 . Rows [ i ]. Cells [ P_exp_date ]. Value = ( DateTime . Parse ( dr [ P_expdate ]. ToString ())). ToString ( dd/MM );

in your query itself convert select convert(varchardatafiledname103) as date from tablename

Here not just showing the mm-dd instead of showing the mm-dd-yyyy. Only am just typing mm and dd it will set to the correct format like mm-dd-yyyy in datagridviewcolumn. are you clear about my qusetion. Please suggest any another idea to solve this issue in my project. Thanks for your reply Ahmed.
