Show text on LCD screen board

Question

I have came into a requirement to show text on a LCD Screen (as we saw on the railway/airlines boards).

The project is of telecom industry in which they have their several other centers among which several machines have been setup there. 

 

They want to see the machine ping status (means signal is up or down) on the Lcd screen. 

 

As I had totally unware about showing the text on the board.

 

Can anyone guide me, how can this be achieved in c# and also specify whether this can be achieved in windows form.

I will suggest create web Application instead of a windows application and using small IOT device like resbaryPI you can display output on the LCD screen. 

 

Sure I will share during weekend.
