Show Total percentage User profile completed

Question

I want to make Application like Total percentages profile filled in data. like naukri.com they display total percentage profile updated. i want to make in asp.net or asp.net mvc....

For showing total percentage of user profile completion you may need to consider certain parameters like name email phone city / place technology (expertise) designation and company and biography etc. to calculate the percentage of completion. You can give 10% for each parameter If the user has provided name(10%) email(10%) phone(10%) city/place(10%) and technology (expertise) (10%) then you can mention the percentage completed as 50%. Approach to implement it. 1. Create a field in User Profile called Percentage Complete to store the value. 2. Every time when the user edit the user profile calculation has to be done based on the parameters and store the percentage in Percentage Complete. 3. Basically the calculation should happen in User Profile update action. 4. You can also use the ASP.NET progress bar control to show the percentage completion.
