Hi om as we are .net developer we have to know all the things . as you want to choose one of the thing. mvc is only a design pattern. there are lots of design patterns .so we use it to develope application following this pattern. As you want to learn these things 1st learn these pattern. then you can use it . 1.ASP. net Mvc 2.Razor Mvc 3.Silverlight with MVC 1st learn the concept of c# then go for Asp.net After that try to practice sample on MVC in Asp.net. and try to practice sample on silverlight also. As a .net developer in company they force us to work on all the technology whenever requirement come. better try to learn all these things step wise.

Silverlight is a technology and MVC is a design pattern. As you are in .net try to learn both the thing.
