Single button for all forms

Question

I m developing a window application for school management

In this application i m heaving a SAVE button on parent form

As i open a child form and click on save button on parent form

the value should be saved ,Button should have an intellence

that what form is activate and what forms values is to be saved

Please help me it is urgent

Hello ali try this: Write code for save functionality on each child form with same name for example on form child1: Public void Savefuncion() { //Put codefor saving information } on form child2: Public void Savefuncion() { //Put codefor saving information } now use this code on click event of save button foreach ( Form frm in Application .OpenForms) { object frm = ActiveMdiChild; if (frm != null ) { frm.Savefuncion(); } } thanks Please mark as answer if it helps

Hi This all belong to appplication design. But I am trying to write a summary what to do. You need a layer of classes which representing each forms and also need properties as it's fields. More over in your Parent page one static property needed like CurrentPageName. When ever a Child page is loading it will set the above parent property with it's own name. During save Parent page will check it's CurrentPageName property to make sure correct page is saving.
