SOAP v/s REST protocol ?

Question

What are differences between SOAP and REST protocol and which is best in terms of advance technology. i am not getting such article in C# corner . PLZ if any link provide me with extra knowledge.

Soap is basically Web Services and WCF where as Rest based is Web Api. It depends on working environment on which based protocol is being used. Its usually now most of the business they are actually looking for Web API(REST) as its easy to maintain and they are lighter and its simple and also its secured with Authentication same as Soap based.

SOAP is a protocol to provide communication between your service to applications. Where REST is not a protocol Is a prototype to provide services to your applications. REST is very light weight than SOAP. In short REST didnt have any WSDL. Application -------SOAP(wsdl)--------WEBSERVICES Application -----REST(no wsdl) ----- WEBSERVICES REST will access only HTTP protocol. But SOAP allows more.
