If you have a piece of text which contains multiple spaces between words then the Split() method using a space separator will normally produce an array which contains empty strings as well as the words themselves. You can avoid this by using one of the overloads which takes a StringSplitOptions argument and specifying StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries. You will then just be left with the words themselves.
