Hi, Earlier versions of microsoft .net, developers where struggling to use the caching technique in some scnarios. For example, you are having critical shopping cart web portal. You will cache the products in the stock and you will show in the web page. Because you do not want to load it again and again from the database. But many people used to buy the items in the shopping cart. So you can't predict whether any items sold or not. If it is sold then you should reload the current items from the stock. It was challenge. Ideally you need to cache the items in the shopping cart but the same times whenever any changes in the stock you need to reload it again. Thats where microsoft introduced new feature called SqlCacheDepandency. ASP.NET allows you to use the SqlCacheDependency class to create a cache item dependency on a table or row in a database. When a change occurs in the table or in a specific row, the item that has a dependency is invalidated and removed from the cache.
