Hi I want to search some values ontable_a's column1 column (for example 234) in table_b's column2 column and count this. How may I do this? table_a ----------------- column1 1 2 3 5 6 7 8 ----------------- table_b ----------------- column2 2 4 5 6 7 8 9 -----------------

Yes this should be done using equi join as above Abhijit Patil mentioned Like : select count(column_1) FROM TABLE_A JOIN TABLE_B ON TABLE_A.coulumn_1 = TABLE_B.column_2 ....... I HOPE THIS IS WHAT U LOOKING IF NOT say i will try to assist you .

Dear yokzu you can use join for that.
