Hi Arun SQL Server has efficient ways to enhance scalability of the database system. SQL Server 2000 automatically adjusts the granularity of locking for each table used by a query. Parallel Execution Plans is in placed automatically. This split the processing of a SQL statement into pieces that can be run on a different CPU thus allowing the complete result set to build faster.
