Sql server 2005 stored procedure varchar is not supporting

Question

create procedure Sp_insertCatagory @CatName varchar (50) nvarchar is supporting but varchar is not showing red color Error.. The name 'CatName' is not permitted in this context

@ CatName is an input parameter? then you have to write create proc sp_insertcategory (@catName varchar(50)) As Begin ... END else if it is new parameter which you are creating inside sp then write create proc sp_insertcategory as Declare @CatName varchar(50)
