Question

how to count the total salary which based on Deptname wise.

i have 50rows with empid,empname,deptname,salary.

i want to count the total salary dept wise.

please help me,

You can use single slash as double backslash as well. May be an error is in using triple backslashes after file:

More clear: C:\\Program File\\file.txt Usually Windows uses backslashes like DOS. It isn't "internet like" but works in other cases (not tested in RichTextBox).

I guess the first hint was meant like that: file:\\C://Program Files//file.txt Greetings, gilthanas

I made this, In fact in the richtextbox I write "\"file:\\\\\\C:/Program Files/file.txt\"" But the problem is blank. Thank you for your reply.

Try to use \\ instead of single \. Not tested
