Hi You can have SELECT INSERT UPDATE DELETE statement for a view. But it will always affect your original Table for DELETE INSERT and UPDATE. Create view table1_View as select * from table1 go delete from table1_view go insert into table1_view values('P00001'10) go update table1_view set Qty=30 where PONumber='P00001' Regards Iftikar

hi yes you can perform DML operation on View(simple view as well as complex view(with the join and group by cluase).
