SSL certificate related

Question

I add in my project ssl certificate. when i write http:website.com it shows secure but when i type website.com its don't show the security. it needs a code in web config file.what is it? reroute http://www.phoneafriendcard.com to https://www.phoneafriendcard.com in your web config how is it possible?

See the reply by Ted (with 22 count for - this is a useful answer) just below the accepted answer (with 73 count). If you have taken care to create a base page and inherited all your pages from that base page you can code under PreInit (as shown in the post). If you have not created a base page then unfortunately you will have to put the code in Page_Load of login page itself. However I am not sure if some user clicks the link saved by him/her which directly goes to some inner page of the site. Remember creating a basepage is always a good practice.
