What stores in stack? What stores in Heap?

The only things that are stored on the stack are local variables and parameters passed by value. Everything else is stored on the heap. Where local variables or value parameters refer to reference types (such as string object etc) only the reference is stored on the stack. The object itself (unless the reference is null) is stored on the heap.

If the object reference is contained in a local variable or value parameter then the reference (but not the object itself) is stored on the stack. In all other cases it's stored on the heap.

C# doesn't support global variables as such i.e. variables which are defined outside any class or struct. However static variables are always stored on the heap.
