I don't think there are any standard naming conventions for WPF controls so you can do what you like. However, there are some interesting thoughts on the matter in this thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1743467/wpf-ui-element-naming-conventions I think the important thing is consistency - if you decide on a naming convention then your code will be easier to read if you stick to that convention.
