How do I disable ajax calender extender when textbox is set to readonly=true

CalendarExtender1.Enabled = false; where you dont want calender on textbox in code behind another solution may be you can use two panels with different textbox but use calender for only one textbox and when you want to show calender visible true for first panel else visible true for second panel

If above method not working then set txtcheckdate.Attributes.Add( "readonly" , "readonly" ); where you want to disable calender

If I give without quotation then throwing an error Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button' to 'string' and also with hidden button not working.

Use lblprice without "" Try input tag or button with visible false instead of label to popupbuttonid

PopupButtonID in code behind when you type CalendarExtender1. it will show PopupButtonID If throw error then add new dll 4.5 of ajxcontrol

throwing an error :Error 12 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender' does not contain a definition for 'PopcontrolId' and no extension method 'PopcontrolId' accepting a first argument of type 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

change calender PopcontrolId as any hiddenfield id when you want to disable calender for textbox. we are setting PopupButtonid for calender by defalut to use on textbox here we can change it from code behind based on condition as for hiddenfield
