Stopping Windows Services during deployment

Question

I and creating a Setup program with Visual Studio.net to deploy my Serviced Components and Window Services. Is there a way to stop existing Services from the Setup Program itself. I also want to take backup of existing files from my Setup program. Does Visual Studio.net Setup program provide features for these functionalities. Thanks Asha

Hi Ashasri You'll probably need a custom installation step If this solution doesn't work you should probably launch your installation with a batch file that contains the command net stop . and then runs the installation -Mike G.
